BI Projects 14-Fold Increase in Digital Financial Transactions by 2030

Inp.polri.go.idDenpasar.  Indonesia’s Central Bank, Bank Indonesia (BI), anticipates a dramatic 14-fold increase in digital financial transactions by 2030, reaching 10.05 billion transactions, up from 0.6 billion today.

Ryan Rizaldy, the Director of BI’s Payment System Policy Department, shared this forecast during a journalist training session in Bali over the weekend. He attributed this growth to the rising dominance of Generations Y, Z, and Alpha in the economy and improving economic prospects.
