Kapolda Sulut Led the Pataka Washing Ceremony Ahead of 76th Bhayangkara Day

inp.polri.go.id – North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Sulut), Inspector General Drs. Mulyatno, S.H., M.M., led the pataka washing ceremony for the North Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulut), Maesa’an Waya. The pataka washing in order to welcome the 76th Bhayangkara Day in 2022.

The activity was held in the Chess Room of the North Sulawesi Police Headquarters, Wednesday (22/6/22) morning. The activity was attended by the Deputy Chief of the North Sulawesi Police, Brigadier General Jhonny Edison Isir, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., along with the high officials of Polda Sulut.

In that series of activities, the plaque brought by Brimob personnel entered the ceremony venue, then the veil was opened by Kayanma Polda Sulut. Then the symbolic washing of the pataka was carried out by Kapolda Sulut. Furthermore, the plaque is closed again and stored in the Kapolda’s office.

Meanwhile, Kapolda Sulut, after the activity, said that the pataka washing ceremony was part of glorifying the noble values of Tribrata, and was an annual tradition carried out before the celebration of Bhayangkara Day.

“This Pataka Washing Ceremony is essentially a banner or a symbol of unity. A symbol that we respect greatly by glorifying the values of the symbol,” said the Two-Star General.

The patak washing ceremony can also be interpreted as a momentum to clean, improve, and introspect oneself.

“So that it would encourages us to keep move forward and work better and more optimally,” said Kapolda Sulut.
