inp.polri.go.id – Pekanbaru. The Riau Regional Police (Polda Riau) held a religious act of service and distributed social assistance, on Monday (20/6/2022).
This activity is part of activities in welcoming the 76th anniversary of Bhayangkara that will fell on July 1, 2022. The ten thousand daily supplies packages were distributed simultaneously throughout Riau by the police officers.
At the Riau Police HQ, the event was held solemnly. The event was led by the Riau Chief of Police (Kapolda Riau), Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal, S.I.K., M.H., and accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Riau Police (Wakapolda Riau), Brigadier General Drs. Tabana Bangun, M.Sc., as well as key officials of Polda Riau. The event was also attended by the TNI members, religious leaders, community leaders, students, and so on. This social service and social assistance is carried out at the yard of Riau Police HQ.
In this activity, Polda Riau also participated in a video conference with the National Police Chief General Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., along with other Regional Police throughout Indonesia. After that, there was a symbolic handover of social assistance by Kapolda Riau, to recipient representatives ranging from workers who were laid off, retired officers, online motorcycle taxis, orphaned cleaners, people with disabilities, and others.
After the symbolic handover, Kapolda Riau, along with religious leaders and community leaders, had the opportunity to send off a group from the Social Aid distribution team to a place of worship.
“We want to help the community,” said the Kapolda.
“These social acts of service aimed to help the community and an opportunity for us to do good deeds,” he continued.
Other than social acts of service, the police also went to cleaned numerous places of worship.
