inp.polri.go.id – Police officials stated that they were still preparing to establish the Nusantara Task Force and the Mantap Brata Operation to secure the 2024 General Election.
“Based on our experience from the 2019 election, we cannot avoid polarization, identity politics, hoaxes, and hate speech. We simply cannot avoid it,” explained the Head of the Public Relations Division (Kadiv Humas) of the National Police (Polri), Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, Sunday (19/06/22).
As a preparation to secure the 2024 General Election, Polri has formed the Nusantara Task Force team.
This team will later carry out educational and socializiation activities to the community.
“This team will act as a cooling system amid the tension of the General Election, while also carry out literacy, socialization, and reminder activities,” said the Two-Star General.
On the same occasion, he also emphasized that the authorities would enforce the law if there are groups or individuals who spreads harmful content that has the potential to divide unity.
“If they still repeated their harmful actions after being reminded numerous times, then there will be law enforcement efforts that must be carried out,” explained the 1990 Akabri graduate.
Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo advised the public to always maintain unity and uphold the value of diversity with one another.
“The National Police Chief always reminds us to maintain unity and integrity, maintain the unity in diversity of the state,” concluded the former Central Kalimantan Police Chief.
