inp.polri.go.id – Riau Police Chief (Kapolda Riau), Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, S.I.K., M.H., was awarded with the traditional honorary title by the Riau Malay Customary Institute (LAMR) Dumai City.
The title that was awarded to the Police Chief is that he got the title of Datuk Wira Lela Setia Negeri.
This title was given because he is considered to have contributed to Malay customs and its society, especially in Dumai City. The procession in crowning this cultural title was held at the Dumai City LAMR Office. Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, S.I.K., M.H., admitted that he was very honored for this title.
“Thank God, I am very grateful for this title. This is a very extraordinary gift for me and my family. Both personally, as a family, and as the Chief of the Riau Police,” said Kapolda Riau, Friday (17/6/2022) .
The Riau Police Chief said that Dumai City is like his hometown. Because he had served the Dumai City since 2003. At that time, Iqbal served as Deputy Police Chief of Dumai Police.
The former NTB Police Chief emphasized that the customary title he received was a mandate for him. Iqbal promised to be committed to maintaining the mandate as ‘Datuk Wira Lela Setia Negeri’.
