inp.polri.go.id – Deputy Chief of the National Police (Wakapolri), Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono, asked regional officials to work together to deal with current issues in the community, and specifically highlight the handling of Covid-19, the oil and gas mafia, and even mouth and nail disease (FMD).
“Recently there are new variants of Covid-19, BA.4 and BA.5. This is a new challenge for all of us the governors, the mayors and regents, so we can anticipate the emergence of these issues,” explained Wakapolri at the Ministry of Home Affairs office, Thursday (16/6/22).
Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono appealed to the public to always pay attention to health protocols. He said this habit would prevent people from contracting the Corona virus and other diseases.
“Even though we are no longer required to wear masks in outdoors, we implore the people to keep wearing the masks. Especially at events where there are a lot of people gathering in one place,” explained Wakapolri.
Wakapolri said that the Covid-19 pandemic would have a direct impact on economic conditions in Indonesia. He asked the community to jointly anticipate the increase in COVID-19 cases. “If we can control the Covid-19 pandemic, even at its lowest point, then our economy can run well,” he explained.
In addition, Wakapolri also asked the acting regional heads to maintain their coordination, so that the issues of PMK would not disturb or harm Eid al-Adha. According to him, issues that are not in accordance with the facts can cause unrest in the community.
