inp.polri.go.id – The West Jakarta Metro Police thwarted the smuggling of 214 kilograms of marijuana of the Sumatra-Java network. In this case, one suspect with the initials NP (29) was arrested in the Mandailing Natal area, North Sumatra.
Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan said the disclosure started from the development of the previous case. The team then conducted an investigation, Tuesday (07/06/22).
“Located on the Trans Sumatran Road, Pinyongek Hamlet, Ranjau Batu Village, Muara Sipongi District, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra, one suspect with the initials NP (29) who played a role as a courier was arrested,” explained the Intermediate Officer of the Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday (15/06).
Commissioner Endra Zulpan explained that police officers arrested NP along with the evidence of 214 kg of marijuana, a car, and a cellphone.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Metro Jaya said that NP received orders from someone to deliver the hundreds kg of marijuana to Jakarta. NP gets a salary of around Rp15 million.
“We have obtained the identity of that person and is currently on the wanted list. They are part of the Sumatran-Javanese network,” concluded the former Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Police.
