inp.polri.go.id – Polda Metro Jaya emphasized that the activities carried out by the Khilafatul Muslimin group were purely against the law because they were contrary to Pancasila. It is known that the supreme leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin, Abdul Qadir Hasan Baraja, has been arrested in Bandar Lampung City, Tuesday (7/6).
“The activities of the Khilafatul Muslimin are purely against the law,” explained the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, S.I.K, M.Sc.
Kabid Humas explained that the caliphate convoy, one of which was carried out in Cawang, East Jakarta, were listed on the website and the monthly Khilafatul Muslimin bulletin.
On the website, Khilafatul Muslimin also stated that the ideology of Pancasila is not appropriate. Because, the ideology of the caliphate is the most appropriate for the prosperity of the earth and the welfare of the people.
“So, we are not only investigating the convoy, but also the actions of the Khilafatul Muslimin that are contrary to the Pancasila ideology. Populist steps that are contrary to Pancasila cannot be allowed to damage the core ideology of the state,” he said.
Based on these things, the police have also named Baraja, the highest leader of the Khilafatul Muslimin, as a suspect.
He was charged with Article 59 paragraph 4 in conjunction with Article 82 paragraph 2 of Law Number 16 of 2017 concerning Ormas and Article 14 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 and or Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations with a minimum penalty of 5 years in prison and a maximum of 20 years imprisonment.
