inp.polri.go.id – The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Aceh Police managed to apprehend five perpetrators who are strongly suspected of being involved in the shooting of two residents of Indrapuri, Aceh Besar, 12 May 2022.
The five suspects are TM as the logistics planner and supplier, DW as informant as well as a logistics supplier. Then, NZ, ZD, and MY as the accompanier of the executors and crime scene observers.
“We have arrested five people. They have different roles in this case, and they were also arrested at different places,” said the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Aceh Police, Commissioner Winardy S.H., S.IK., M.Si, during a press conference, on Monday (30/05/22).
Kabid Humas of the Aceh Police said that based on the results of the preliminary investigation, the motive for the shooting was revenge. However, investigators are still exploring the possibility of other motives behind the incident.
Kabid Humas of the Aceh Police hoped that the public would remain calm and not speculate about the case, let alone link the shooting to certain individuals or groups.
“Essentially, we will investigate this case thoroughly. Trust us. The point is that this case has nothing to do with any group, it is purely criminal,” said the Head of Public Relations.
