inp.polri.go.id –Â The National Police (Polri) suggested that the AKP DK case with her family be resolved with a restorative justice approach, given that the AKP DK case is only related to the family.
The suggestion for the settlement of the AKP DK family cases was stated by the Head of the Public Relations Division (Kadiv Humas) of the Polri, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo. “I have conveyed to the Polda Metro Jaya that cases like this better be resolved in a restorative way,” said Dedi in Jakarta, Friday (27/5/2022).
The AKP DK case emerged to the public after the member of the Polda Metro Jaya reported her parent-in-law and sister-in-law to the Polda Metro Jaya, on February 26, regarding the alleged theft.
Then, her parent-in-law, Nurmalita Sangadji, and his sister-in-law, Claudia Senduk, reported back AKP DK to the Propam Police Headquarters last Wednesday (25/5) because they felt they had been criminalized.
AKP DK is the husband of Brigadier CS who died in December 2021. At that time, Brigadier CS parents and his younger brother lived with AKP DK.
According to Dedi, the case is being handled by Polda Metro Jaya. Because there is a family connection, he suggested that it be resolved with a restorative justice approach. “It is better we use restorative approach so that family relations remain good,” said Dedi.
Meanwhile, Jay Tambunan, lawyer for Nurmalita and Claudia, said his client lived at the house of AKP DK, both of whom were accused of theft after being kicked out of the house, January 2022.
On the other hand, according to AKP DK’s attorney, they left the house peacefully and were given with food by AKP DK’s parents.
On January 24, 2022, AKP DK found his mother-in-law and sister-in-law entering the room without her permission and taking the belongings of her late husband, such as jewelry, shoes, clothes, toiletries and perfume.
