inp.polri.go.id – In addition to static cameras, the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police (Polri) is intensifying the electronic ticketing program or ETLE based on cellphone cameras, namely ETLE Mobile. With this ETLE Mobile, traffic violators can also be ticketed in areas where there are no static ETLE cameras.
Commissioner Muhammad Adiel Aristo, as Head of Traffic Violation Section (Kasigar) of the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) said that the Central Java Police are currently using this mobile ETLE ticketing mechanism. The police on patrol will take pictures of traffic violators using ‘mobile phones’ which are connected to the Mobile Sigap and Go-Sigap applications, he explained.
“The mechanism is like this, when the two personnel are patrolling with motorbikes, the officers behind are taking pictures of traffic violations by using this special mobile go-sigap applications,” explained Commissioner Muhammad Adiel.
“Then the photo or image automatically is sent directly to the back office or admin at Ditlantas Polda Jateng office,” he continued.
“The types of traffic violations that can be photographed using ETLE Mobile, through the Go-Sigap application, are, among others, visible violations, such as not wearing a helmet, then not using a mirror, the police number or TNKB do not comply with the specifications or do not comply with the regulations and rules, and there are many other visible violations,” explained Kasigar Ditlantas Polda Jateng.
With the existence of this mobile-based electronic ticketing mechanism, practically the police and violators do not need to meet in person to complete the ticket. According to the Central Java Regional Police, all can be resolved online.
“After the confirmation letter arrives at the violator’s house, the violator gets online service, where the call center cellphone number is already in the confirmation letter,” explained Kasigar Ditlantas Polda Jateng.
“Then violators will be questioned, and by doing this, there will be no need to come to the police station. Everything will be done through our online service, then the violators will have to send their ID card, driver’s license, and the STNK of the vehicle through their own camera. Then the admin will help to make an online ticket and also provide the BRIVA number, “explained Kasigar Ditlantas Polda Jateng further.
“So, from the initial capture of the violation until the completion of the ticket violation, there is no direct contact between the violator and the traffic officers in the field,” he said further.
Polda Jateng said the ETLE Mobile program was successful in reducing the number of traffic accidents. Because traffic accidents begin with traffic violations.
