inp.polri.go.id – Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident) of Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police (Polri) Brigadier General Yusri Yunus appealed to the public not to buy new white vehicle number plates online.
Brigadier General Yusri Yunus explained that the new white vehicle plate number were only issued by the Korlantas Polri and were not widely for sale.
“It was the police who issued the plate, not online shops. How come the public bought it online, Yes, it’s wrong to buy it from online shops. Don’t buy it online,” stated the Dirregident Korlantas, Monday (23/5/22).
Dirregident Korlantas Polri explained that the new white plates number had special specifications to be detected by the ETLE camera. “There are specified specs, so I implore the public to be patient, you don’t have to rush. Don’t buy it online, just wait patiently. We have specified specs so the plates could be detected by ETLE,” he explained.
As previously reported, Korlantas Polri aimed that all vehicles will have white plates number by 2027, and changes will begin this year.
“We aim at year 2027, this operation is complete, every plates number is white,” said Brigadier General Yusri Yunus, Sunday (22/5/22).
However, Yusri revealed, there are several priority vehicles that will change the black plate to white. Namely, new vehicles that have entered the five-year tax payment and vehicles that have been transferred or changed regions.
