inp.polri.go.id – Riau Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Riau) Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal, S.I.K., M.H., attended the signing of MoU between the Riau Police and Santri Tani by the Director of Comuunity Development (Binmas) AKBP Wendry Purbyantoro SH and the General Chairperson of the DPP Santri Tani NU, T Rusli Ahmad SE, MM. The signing ceremony was also coincided with the grand ceremony of Bhabinkamtibmas Riau Police at the Labersa Hotel Ballroom, Thursday (19/05/22).
The realization of this collaboration is based on a shared desire to realize national food security, and agreed to cooperate on developing the programs in the plantation, agriculture, fisheries and animal husbandry sectors by combining the potential tasks, functions, and authorities, as well as existing programs on both sides.
AKBP Wendry said that his party was cooperating and synergizing with Santri Tani to realize food independence and security. “The meaning of Santri here is not only meant the students of Islamic boarding schools or madrasa schools and others, but means all people who are interested in learning and doing good things, people who are interested in working, including being farmers, gardening, or raising livestock,” said Dirbinmas.
The Santri Tani residents would later work on the land prepared by the DPP Santri Tani, in collaboration with the village. The Police will later coordinate with the Village Head to encourage and guide the villagers who own the land and those who do not. This is done to develop interest and willingness to work in cultivating unused land or land that has been prepared. Regarding how to prepare the land, how to garden, grow crops and fertilize, will be trained by the DPP Santri Tani.
Kapolda Riau appreciated the collaboration that was built between Binmas Riau Police with Santri Tani, and he encouraged all parties including the Bhabinkamtibmas to support this collaboration.
“We need to pay attention to food security and that needs real action. Santri Tani invites us to realize this goal. We support this noble cause,” explained Kapolda Riau.
