inp.polri.go.id – The Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the National Police (Polri) destroyed 238 kg of methamphetamine and 121 kg of marijuana from four different cases. “We came here to destroy the evidence of 238 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 121 kilograms of marijuana,” explained the Head Bureau of Public Relations of Polri, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta, Friday (20/5/22).
Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan said that this case was revealed by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and the Riau Police. In this case, 13 suspects have been arrested. “This drugs are the result of a drug disclosure operation that was carried out some time ago, by the Directorate of Narcotics of Bareskrim Polri, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the Riau Police. From this case the 13 suspects from four different cases have been arrested,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Director of Drugs Criminal Investigaton (Dirtipidnarkoba) of Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Krisno H Siregar said the termination was using an incinerator with a high temperature and with this device, any type of narcotics could no longer be used. “This extermination using a high temperature incinerator, and it has been proven that this will completely extinguished the drugs,” he explained.
Brigadier General Krisno H Siregar said the extermination was in accordance with Law 35 of 2019 concerning Narcotics. The regulation explains that narcotics must be destroyed after the local state prosecutor was done with their job.
