inp.polri.go.id – The National Strategic Project for the Development of the Batang Industrial Estate and the Batang PLTU Project was reviewed by the Central Java Police Chief (Kapolda Jatim), Inspector General Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, S.H., S.St., M.K., Thursday (19/5/22).
Accompanied with several key officials of Central Java Police (Polda Jatim), they were welcomed by the Director of Operations of PT Bhimasena and KITB staff, Thursday (19/5/22).
The Batang PLTU or Central Java Power Plant is projected to support the electricity needs on the island of Java and is part of the 35,000 Mega Watt electricity supply program.
In the speech, Kapolda Jatim was explained that Polda Jatim strongly supports the construction of the Batang PLTU and is committed to guarding and helping the project to success.
Kapolda Jateng said that succeeding the development of national strategic projects is one of the priority programs of the National Police Chief.
“Therefore, assistance like this is needed to provide security guarantees and legal certainty for the development of national strategic projects, both PLTU Batang and other national strategic projects in Central Java,” explained Kapolda Jateng.
Kapolda Jatim asked Forkompinda to facilitate project construction and help them by building various supporting facilities.
Based on the observations, the development of national strategic projects in Batang district is running quite smoothly. The progress of the construction of the Batang PLTU, which was hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic, is currently at 97.5%, while the progress for the integrated industrial area currently reaches 90%. On the other hand, the current supporting infrastructure development has reached 10%.
It is targeted that the overall development of supporting infrastructure will be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
