Through Cultural Approach, Binmas Noken Builds Strong Communication With Local Leaders of Yahukimo

inp.polri.go.id – In conducting the Koteka Program, The Noken Community Development (Binmas) of Cartenz Peace Ops established a stronger communication with local leaders of the community by holding a traditional event of Stones Burning in Muara Village, Dekai District, Yahukimo, Tuesday (17/5/2022).

The event was attended by The Deputy Chief Unit (Wakasatgas) of Binmas Cartenz Peace Ops, AKBP Yamin Dian Priono, S.I.K., Deputy Head of Public Relations of Cartenz Peace Ops, AKBP Arif Irawan, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., Deputy Chief of Yahukimo Police, Commissioner Alfons Umbora, The Chief Binmas Task Force IPDA I Made Budi Dumariawan, the Tribal Chief of Momuna, Ismail Keykera, The Head Village of Muara, Ibrani Otimuka, along with the community and the officers of Binmas Ops.

During the event, the community was seen very happy and welcomed the activity of Binmas Noken of Cartenz Peace Ops.

Moreover, Wakasatgas Binmas also gave the bible and sports equipment to strengthen the bond between the police and the community. He also revealed that the activity was part of Koteka Program with the aim to tighten the relationship between the police and the community.

“The cultural approach is one of the best ways to establish communication within the community, where the message can be accepted easily by the people, so that the cooperation between the police and the community can be established,” said Wakasatgas Binmas.

He also stated that Koteka Program is one of Binmas Noken priority program.

“Through this program, we as the civil servants, can tighten and intensified or relationship and communication with the community so that every activity that we held will be supported by the community,” said AKBP Yamin.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Public Relations of Cartenz Peace Ops, AKBP Arif Irawan hoped that every programs of Binmas Noken can help to improve the welfare of the community in Papu.

“Binmas Noken comes with various Humanitarian Programs with the hope of improving the community’s economy and maintaining public safety and security in Papua,” concluded the Deputy Head of the Public Relations of the Task Force.

Various local leaders of Yahukimo who were present also appreciated the programs of the Police to get closer to the community, one of which was the Head of Muara Village, Ibrani Otimuka. He said that the steps taken by the Police in establishing communication through cultural approach were the right steps.
