inp.polri.go.id – Jambi Regional Police (Kapolda Jambi) deployed 696 police personnel to safeguard the 2566 Vesak Day celebration.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Jambi, Commissioner Mulia Prianto said that hundreds of personnel were deployed to intercept social disturbances during the celebration of Vesak Day.
“In Jambi City itself, security will be carried out at five Viharas spread across several areas, with a total of 183 personnel from the Polda Jambi and 198 people from the Jambi Police (Polresta Jambi),” said Kabid Humas, Monday (16/05/22).
The worship during Vesak Day will be held at temples and centered at the Muarojambi Temple on May 22, and still complying with the COVID-19 health protocol.
“The number of people who carry out Vesak worship at Kedaton Temple is approximately 600 people from 20 Viharas in Jambi Province,” explained Kabid Humas.
Kabid Humas Polda Jambi also predicted that there will be traffic jams during the Vesak Day.
“To avoid this, security will be carried out around the location of the Vihara and Kedaton Temple,” concluded Kabid Humas.
