Monitoring the Distribution of Cooking Oi, Polri Formed Joint Force With Kemenperin and Kemendag

inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. To supervise and monitor the distribution and sale of cooking oil, the National Police formed a joint task force by cooperating with the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag), even to Bhayangkara personnel of the Advisor for Community Security and Order (Bhabinkamtibmas).

“The National Police (Polri) will continue to supervise and monitor the cooking oil by forming a joint task force with the Ministry of Industry and Trade from the central level to the regional level,” explained The Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of Polri’s Public Relations Division (Divisi Humas), Brigadier General Dr. Ahmad Ramadhan, S.H., M.H., M.Sc., Friday (13/5/2022).

“The joint Task Force will check and supervise the distribution and sales. They will also monitoring the producers, level one to level four distributors, and retailers for 24 hours,” he continued.

Furthermore, Karo Penmas said that the National Police would also take firm action against all parties who violate the cooking oil export policy set by the government.

Previously, the government set a ban on exports of palm oil and cooking oil. This was conveyed directly by President Jokowi in a virtual press conference, after chairing a meeting to meet the basic needs of the people.

“The government prohibits the export of raw materials for cooking oil and the cooking oil starting Thursday, April 28, 2022 until the determined time,” said the Indonesian President, Jokowi, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat’s official YouTube.
