inp.polri.go.id – Police are still trying to arrest the suspect in the blasphemy case, Saifuddin Ibrahim, who is suspected of being in the United States (US). There are at least two law enforcement options that will be carried out against the suspect. the Head of the Public Relations Division (Kabag Penum) of Polri, Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko, S.I.K., explained that the first option was for Saifuddin Ibrahim to return to Indonesia.
And if he still resist, there is still a second option. Namely, his party has cooperated with the FBI to arrest him in the United States.
“We are still coordinating with the FBI for the repatriation process, whether he surrenders himself or is secured by the FBI,” explained Kabag Penum, Saturday (14/5/2022).
He continued that his party was still waiting for the results of the coordination between the International Relations of Polri and the FBI, especially regarding the plan to return the suspect from the US.
“So basically the police are still coordinating with the FBI, in this case the International Relations division, related to the repatriation process,” he said.
