NTT Police Chief Ordered His Personnel to Monitor the Distribution of Bulk Cooking Oil

inp.polri.go.id – East Nusa Tenggara Police Chief (Kapolda NTT) Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto ordered all his members to monitor the distribution of bulk cooking oil so that the price is in line with the highest retail price (HET).

“I emphasize to the Police Chiefs in NTT and the Food Task Force in the regions to monitor the distribution of bulk cooking oil t so that no one sells it at a price above HET, which is Rp14,000 per liter and Rp15,500 per kilogram,” explained Kapolda NTT at Kupang, Thursday (12/5/22).

He said that statement came due to the incoming distribution of 300 tons of bulk cooking oil to meet the needs of the people on the mainland of the island of Timor, NTT.

The bulk cooking oil was just unloaded from the port of Tenau last Tuesday (10/5), and began to be distributed to the public in markets on Wednesday (11/5).

The delivery of hundreds of tons of bulk cooking oil for NTT were thanks to the cooperation between the SOE Food Holding ID FOOD and the Ministry of Transportation, the National Food Agency, PTPN Group, Pos Indonesia, and BRI.

The 300 tons of bulk cooking oil is intended for the general public as well as entrepreneurs and SMEs in Kupang City and its surroundings.

The distribution involved the association of market traders and Unions through the Holding subsidiary, PT Indonesia Trading Company and Rajawali Nusindo.

Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto hopes that no one will take advantage of this momentum by selling the bulk cooking oil above HET.

However, the Two-Star General added that if there are deviations, his party will take firm action, but will warned them first. The public is also expected to be able to report to the food task force or local police if they find anyone selling bulk oil above the HET price.
