inp.polri.go.id – Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal appreciated the performance of the Police in guarding the 2022 Eid homecoming and considered that they had succeeded in anticipating the long traffic jams, and able to make the Eid traffic of this year was smoother than before.
“We highly appreciate the performance of the police officers who make the traffic going smoothly for this year’s Eid. The flow of traffic is relatively much smoother compared to previous years,” said Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, Thursday (12/5/22).
Cucun assessed that the challenges of this year’s homecoming is relatively more difficult. He saw the enthusiasm of the community soar high as a result of not permitted to go to their hometown for two years. “This situation raises concerns about traffic deadlocks due to the increasing volume of vehicles on toll roads,” he explained.
He also acknowledged that the success of National Police in handlind the traffic is due to the collaboration with the relevant authorities.
The chairman of the PKB party in the DPR assessed that the strategies that the police has prepared, such as the one-way system, odd-even, contraflow, and minimize toll payment gates, were able to reduce the potential for congestion. “Although there are still a few traffic jams, in general the services for this year’s homecoming is going well. The police in the field are able to carry out their duties well,” he explained.
