inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Street Race has been successfully held twice in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya. First, the street race was held in Ancol and then the second one took place in the BSD area, South Tangerang.
The Director of Traffic Unit (Dirlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that in the future, this activity will be held in the Bekasi area.
“Hopefully we can hold the next event after Eid in May or at the latest in early June,” explained the Intermediate Officer of the Polda Metro Jaya.
Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo hopes that as the event develops, this event will not only provide a place for the racers to race, but also be filled with creative side-events for young people.
“Because the fasting month is already passed, and hopefully the Covid-19 will have gone down a lot, we can invite MSMEs, art performances, and inter-high school band festivals to liven up this event even more,” said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
Meanwhile in a different place, the Bekasi City Metropolitan Police Chief, Commissioner Hengki ensured that an official street race in Bekasi City would be held in the near future.
Commissioner Hengki explained that the preparation for the street race in Bekasi City is now almost finished.
