inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, H. Ahmad Sahroni, S.E., M.I.Kom., assessed that the number of people who were going home for Eid 2022 was overwhelming because they could not return to their hometowns for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, he appreciated the Police for collaborating with the Ministry of Transportation and other stakeholders in preparing steps to anticipate traffic congestion. Based on his observations, the police and other officers managed to make this year’s homecoming conducive and not chaotic.
“The police are very alert and ready to handle traffic congestion during the homecoming and return flows for Eid 2022,” said Deputy Chair of Commission III in Jakarta, Friday (6/5).
He also stated that the National Police had succeeded in collaborating with other institutions in supporting the strategy to anticipate the homecoming flow.
He said the National Police not only deployed more than 100,000 members, but also collaborated with the Ministry of Transportation and other related institutions to break down traffic congestion.
“This collaboration certainly helps the success of Operation Ketupat during April 28 to May 9. I hope the public can follow all the directions that have been prepared,” he concluded.
