inp.polri.go.id – Banda Aceh. Aceh Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Aceh) Inspector General Drs. Ahmad Haydar, S.H., M.M., asked all of his staff not to be afraid to face the actions of the drug mafia and continue to be committed to eradicating the distribution and abuse of illegal drugs to its roots.
“These drug mafias are bold in their actions. Even so, personnel in the field should not be afraid. Keep up the spirit and eradicate them to the roots,” said Kapolda Aceh, on Wednesday (11/05/2022).
He also appreciates the police who have succeeded in uncovering cases of drug trafficking and abuse in Aceh, such as the disclosure of drug trafficking by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of East Aceh Police.
In that case disclosure, the police arrested two perpetrators and secured evidence of one kilogram of methamphetamine.
The perpetrators, MA (29) and US (41), both of whom are residents of East Aceh Regency, were arrested in an oil palm plantation area in Paya Awe Village, Idi Tunong District, East Aceh Regency. The two perpetrators are suspected of being involved in drug networks between the provinces of Aceh and Java.
“We appreciate the work of East Aceh Police personnel who have caught the inter-provincial drug mafia. We ask all members to never be afraid to face the drug mafia and continue to eradicate them to the root,” explained the two-star General of the Aceh Police.
On the other hand, East Aceh Police Chief AKBP Mahmun Hari Sandy Sinurat S.I.K., revealed that in the arrest operation of MA and US, the East Aceh Police personnel had to disguised themselves because the two perpetrators were quite good at tricking the officers.
From the arrest, he said the one-kilogram of methamphetamine was repackaged as Guanyinwang tea.
“Currently, the two perpetrators and the evidence are at the East Aceh Police Headquarters. They are subject to Article 114 Paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 Paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment,” explained the East Aceh Police Chief.
