inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The police have appealed to travelers to return from their hometowns early to avoid overcrowding.
“I hope that the people who have celebrated Eid with their family will leave early,” explained the Chief of Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police (Polri), Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, Sunday (01/05/22).
Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi stated that the peak of the returnflow is predicted to occur on May 6, 2022 to May 8, 2022. Firman hopes for cooperation between travelers and the police.
“We will implement a one-way system on May 6 and May 7, 2022, you can use the system to go home quite smoothly, but going home earlier is even better,” said General Two Star.
Kakorlantas Polri said the police were helping to regulate the flow of traffic, while he hopes that peopel will obey traffic rules.
He also advised the traveler not to be selfish on the road, so there won’t be any unnecessary traffic jams.
“The truth is its that simple, it’s just up to how they perceive it why we regulate certain systems on the road. We regulate certain systems on the road because there are many people using this road, so please be considerate to the others,” he advised.
