Cartenz Peace Ops Helps People Making Affordable and Easy-to-make Food for the Pigs

inp.polri.go.id – The Deputy Chief Unit (Wakasatgas) of Cartenz Peace Ops, AKBP Yamin Dian Priono, S.I.K, and his team visited the Isak Salak pig farm, which is a recipient of a pig breeding program from the Community Development (Binmas) Task Force, Tuesday(26/04/22).

Previously, they have difficulties in providing food for the pigs. They struggled because they only know how to process the food for the pigs by using rice and concentrate. But now, the team has taught them how to make pig food from processed plants and vegetables that are available around their homes such as leaves, petatas (some kind of sweet potato), banana midrib, and also water hyacinth.

The Task Force also taught them how to operate a grass chopper to make it easier to make pig foods from nearby plants and vegetables. With this machine, the pig farmers can produce food for pigs and its ingredients faster.

The Binmas Task Force hopes that with the assistance of this grass chopper machine, and how to use it, the community can make their own foods for the pigs using ingredients derived from plants and vegetables. That way the piglets can grow well.
