Firman Noersyah signed the MoU (memorandum of understanding) for the Cassowary Program (Welfare for domestic children) between the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force and the Head of the Agriculture and Food Service Office of Papua Province, Ir. Semuel Siriwa Msi in the meeting room of the Jayapura Province Agriculture and Food Service Office, Monday (25/04/22).
In his remarks, the Head of Cartenz Peace Operations said that the problems in Papua do not have to be solved by taking up arms, but simply by using a strategy of working together to help the people by providing training and skills in managing the potential of natural resources in the region.
The Head of Peace Operations Cartenz is optimistic by using a preventive, preemptive approach and always prioritizing local wisdom, this program can be accepted in the hearts of the Papuan people. With a concept like this, this program will be the first step to strengthen and optimized the potential of existing resources in Papua, both in terms of natural resources and human resources.
“After we evaluate and collect all the data, we hope this program is able to make a development according to their needs,” he said. “I am sure Papuans can do it. Do not falter, together we will be able to manage the potential of natural resources and human resources in this area,” he concluded.
