The Director of Traffic Police (DIrlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., has mapped out several locations that will be used as venues for street race events in the Bekasi area, West Java. The plan is that the street race will be held in Meikarta next month. Monday (25/4/22).
His party will survey the race track in Meikarta for the drag race. Possibly, he said, the race track used for street races will have a length of 400 meters.
“The drag race is supposed to be a 500 meter race. But in Meikarta, it will be a 400 meter race,” explained Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
Previously, the street race took place in the BSD Serpong area, South Tangerang over the weekend.
“Today’s street race will be running on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Previously, the Tangerang City and South Tangerang officials have opened it,” said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
In BSD Serpong, there were a total of 680 racers participating. Per day, the participant will be limited to 300 drivers. The first and second day quota is 300. While on Sunday, there will be 100 racers.

Even so, the format had not changed. He emphasized again that the street race is not looking for a champion. The goal is still the same, namely reducing, even preventing, illegal racing on the highway. There will be no first, second and third place winners, but there will be door prizes.
He further admitted that he could not convey the number of registrants, both motorbikes and cars. The competition will start at 14.00 to 17.00 WIB. Sambodo said that social service activities such as sharing snacks for breaking the fast would be included.
