inp.polri.go.id – To provide a sense of security and comfort to the community and as a step to anticipate the occurrence of criminal acts ahead of Eid Al-Fitr, the Bengkulu Police (Polda Bengkulu) Traffic Directorate (Dirlantas) is ready to provide escorts for travelers when crossing a crime-prone area at night.
Dirlantas Polda Bengkulu, Commissioner Sumardji, S.H., Saturday (23/04/22) revealed that his party had mapped areas or road points that were categorized as red areas, especially at night.
These red areas are places such as roads that lack lighting and are located in the middle of plantations or far from residential areas.
Dirlantas ensures that the police would provide escorts if people ask for it when crossing the areas that are deemed dangerous to cross, especially at night. He stated that people can go directly to the police station that has been prepared by his party.
“We will also routinely carry out joint patrols with Sabhara and PP Satpol,” explained Dirlantas Polda Bengkulu.
Apart from providing escort services for travelers, his party will also establish posts in each of the crime-prone areas, such as on the border between provinces and areas with minimal lighting and far from residential areas.
“We have mapped out which areas are prone to crime, especially at night with minimal lighting. We also welcome the travelers who ask to be escorted to cross the crime-prone area,” concluded Dirlantas Polda Bengkulu.
