inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Polda Metro Jaya is ready to secure demonstrations by various elements of students at several points in Jakarta on Thursday (21/04/22). The University of Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM UI) and the Indonesian Student Alliance (AMI) plan to hold a demonstration at the Horse Statue and the DPR building, Central Jakarta.
“Polda Metro Jaya is ready to secure tomorrow’s demonstration,” explained the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, Wednesday (20/04/22).
Police Commissioner Endra Zulpan ensured that the police will use a humanist approach in their services and securing the demonstration. However, the Intermediate Officer of the Polda Metro Jaya asked that the demonstrators would be peaceful in voicing their demonstrations.
“We hope that the demonstrations can goes peacefully and follow the provisions of Law Number 9/98 in expressing their opinions,” said Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya has not been able to specify the number of personnel that will be deployed to secure the demonstration.
Regarding the traffic, the police will also establish a traffic engineering, including road blockade where demonstrations are being held.
