inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police (Polri) advised travelers heading to Bandung via the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road to always use the left lane. Korlantas ensures that travelers to Bandung who use the left lane will not encounter crossings.
“For people heading east, towards Bandung, we urge you who departs from Halim, Jakarta, or passed the elevated toll road at MBZ, please always use the left lane. We repeat, please use the left lane,” explained the National Police Chief of Traffic (Kakorlantas), Inspector General Drs. Firman Santyabudi, M.Sc., in a virtual press conference, Thursday (21/4/2022).
“We assure you will not encounter a crossing if you used the left lane. Later, you can just turn left at Km 66 towards Cipularang,” he added.
Kakorlantas added that travelers heading to Cirebon, Semarang, and so on, at Km 47 can fill the lane usually used for vehicles heading to Jakarta. The lane will be opened to Kalikangkung.
“On the contrary, those who will go to the eastern region, such as Cirebon, Semarang, and so on, please take advantage the lane at Km 47 that usually used by the travellers from Jakarta to the east towards Kalikangkung,” explained the Two-Star General.
He also appealed to travelers to prepare sufficient supplies in the car. He also reminded not to rely on rest areas.
“Therefore, prepare your supplies before leaving, make sure you have enough supplies in the car, even though Jasa Marga has already prepared a rest area,” he concluded.
