Kapolri Inspect The Pasar Senen Train Station Ahead of Homecoming 2022

inp.polri.go.id – The National Police Chief (Kapolri), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, visited Pasar Senen Station in Central Jakarta, to check the readiness of the security for the homecoming flow for Eid Al-Fitr in 2022.

“We recently inspect the readiness of the train at Pasar Senen Station in providing services to the community, especially ahead of the homecoming flow,” said Sigit after visiting Pasar Senen Station, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (20/4). /2022).

On that occasion, Sigit also socialized President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)’s advice to go homecoming earlier or before the predicted peak date of the homecoming flow, which is April 28.

“As stated by the President, he appealed to the public to leave earlier to avoid the peak of homecoming flow between 28, 29, 30 April 2022,” said Sigit.

He also hopes for private companies to not make it difficult for their employees to arrange the time of leave. Sigit stated that the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has already issued flexible leave regulations.

“So we hope that leave can be given in advance. For example, starting from D-8. So that the flow of the road doesn’t get piled up on D-3, D-2, and D-1,” said the former Banten Police Chief.

The leave arrangement, according to Sigit, is also to disperse the potential of traffic jams for vehicles on land. Based on the current data, it is estimated that there are 23 million four-wheeled private vehicles and 17 million two-wheeled vehicles that do the homecoming this year.

“Of course, one of our focuses is how all the main agencies in the private sector can regulate it. So that this homecoming can run well, with fewer traffic jams,” said Sigit.

To prevent potential traffic jams, the police also urge the public to use alternative routes, arterial routes, and southern routes that can be crossed as alternatives and have prepared security posts and other similar services as the main route.

In addition, Sigit also said that using trains could also prevent potential congestion on land routes. After he visited Pasar Senen Station, Sigit explained that, PT. KAI has prepared 20 thousand additional seats for people who want to go homecoming.

“PT. KAI is ready to increase the seating capacity to reach 20 thousand per day, so they can serve up to a total of 50 thousand people in the homecoming period. This can be an alternative way for people who wants to go homecoming. Special trains are also prepared to transport two-wheeled vehicles. So that people can also bring their private vehicles on a special train. This is an alternative way that has been prepared for PT. KAI, “said Sigit.

Sigit also emphasized that vaccination booths in every place that will be crowded with travelers, such as toll road rest areas, terminals, stations, airports, and ports will be prepared.

“So those people who have not been jabbed by a booster can get their booster,” said Sigit.

With all the efforts from the government to succeed in this year’s homecoming, Sigit hopes that the homecoming flow of this year will run safely.

“Perhaps some of these things can certainly be choices and can also help the community to reduce the homecoming flow peak prediction that will occur on April 28, 29, and 30, 2022,” concluded Sigit.
