inp.polri.go.id – The Director of Foreign Hajj Services at the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah Organizers of the Ministry of Religion, Subhan Cholid, explained that the progress of technical aspects preparation for the 1443H/2022M pilgrimage had reached 70%.
In terms of accommodation, food, and transportation for prospective pilgrims this year, “we have come a long way. the preparation may be is up to around 70% and we only have a month and a quarter left to get to the Hajj,” said Chohid on Thursday (14/4/22).
Regarding the departure of the pilgrims, his party is currently mapping the age of the pilgrims according to the criteria of the Saudi Arabian Government, which is a maximum of 65 years. The number of pilgrims who have paid the 2020 Hajj Organizing Fee (BPIH) will be re-selected to determine who will depart for the 1443H/2022M Hajj.
He also said that for Hajj hostels, his party had also asked several embarkations for sterilization starting from May 1, 2022. The reason was that, for two years, several Hajj hostels had been used for quarantine and isolation of Covid-19 patients.
