East Java Authorities Thwarted 45 Tons of Subsidized Fuel Oil Illegal Transactions

inp.polri.go.id – Madura. The Directorate of Water and Air Police (Ditpolairud) of the East Java Police (Polda Jatim) has managed to secure the illegal sale of subsidized fuel oil (BBM). The suspect, with the initials SRW, was arrested at Dungkek Harbor, Sumenep, Madura, East Java.

The disclosure of this case is based on information from the public regarding the scarcity of fuel in Dengkek, Sumenep. The Law Enforcement Fuel Task Force of Ditpolairud Polda Jatim then carried out monitoring and supervision in the Sumenep area.

“From this information, the team moved to check in the field and finally got A1 information, that at the Dengkek Port, Sumenep, there was an allegation of illegal fuel trade,” explained the Director of Ditpolairud Polda Jatim, Commissioner Puji Hendro Wibowo, Tuesday (12/04/22).

The Ditpolairud ranks of Polda Jatim managed to secure one pick-up car and one suspect who was transporting 4.5 tons of subsidized fuel of the Bio-Solar and Pertalite.

“The perpetrator used a letter of recommendation issued by the relevant agency which should have been used for one transportation only once, but they used it up to 3 times,” said the Intermediate Officer of the East Java Regional Police.

Police Commissioner Puji Hendro Wibowo said the perpetrators did the filling repeatedly by using a sling car and jerry can. The Ditpolairud Fuel Task Force secured 90 jerry cans of Bio Solar and 40 jerry cans filled with Pertalite of approximately 4.5 tons.
