inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Counter-Terrorism Special Detachment (Densus) 88 of the Indonesian National Police estimates that members of the NII group are around 1,100 people. The Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the National Police (Polri) Public Relations Division (Divisi Humas), Brigadier General Dr. Ahmad Ramadhan, S.H., M.H., M.Sc., said that the members consist of active and non-active members or members who have taken the oath of allegiance but have not been active in NII activities.
“With members more than a thousand, about 400 of them are active,” explained Karo Penmas, Monday (11/4/2022).
According to him, the NII members can be activated at any time if the organization requires it. According to him, this network has a neat structure and continues to grow.
He explained that NII often recruits members. In addition, said Ramadhan, the process was also followed by the appointment of administrators or officials in the organization.
“The recruitment of NII members is carried out regardless of gender or age limit,” he explained further.
