inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Directorate of Drug Crimes (Dittipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has destroyed evidence of drugs ranging from methamphetamine to marijuana, to ecstasy.
A total of 173,244 grams or 173kg of marijuana were destroyed and apart from marijuana, other drugs were also destroyed, including 84,165 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1,583 pills of ecstasy, and 1,613,400 pills.
“This disclosure case starts from January 15 to March 17, 2022. The arrest spread from Aceh, Medan, and several places within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya or in the city of Jakarta,” explained the Director of Dittipidnarkoba, Brigadier General Krisno Siregar.
He estimated that around one million people were saved from this drug abuse.
“From this disclosure, around 1,318,143 people,” he explained.
