Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, visited several Police personnel who are being treated after the shootout with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) of Papua. Three personnel visited by the Chief of Indonesian National Police in the Bhayangkara Hospital of Papua Regional Police are Police Inspector 1st Class Budi Basrah, Bhayangkara 1st Class Yakob Tengkoe, and Police Brigadier 1st Class Kenny Carlos Julian Kipuw.
During a visit on Wednesday (29/9/21), the Chief of Indonesian National Police made time to speak with the wounded personnel, families, and doctors. The Chief of Indonesian National Police asked the doctor about the condition of one of his personnel after the bullet projectile removal surgery.
“We have conducted the surgery and, thank God, he has stabilised now, General”, a doctor said.
The Chief of Indonesian National Police asked the doctors to observe and provide the best care to the wounded Police personnel. The number one person in the Indonesian National Police also admitted that he is proud to have personnel who are brave and in high spirit to face the country duty.
“Keep the spirit high. Thank you. You have been amazing. We are proud for having you as our personnel”, the Chief of Police said to the treated Police personnel.
Besides giving motivation and spirit to the wounded personnel, the former Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police also provided aid to the personnel’s families to alleviate their burden. Chief of Indonesian National Police also asked the local Regional Police to award them by raising their rank quickly.
After visiting them, the former Chief of Banten Regional Police stated that the three personnel were recovering well, and he hoped that their personnel could be recovered quickly.
“They are getting better. I wish for a speedy recovery. For the family, I hope you keep being tough and patient”, he said.
Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo also asked for prays from the Indonesian people so that on-duty Police personnel be protected.
