inp.polri.go.id – Surabaya. In securing the 2021 National Sports Week (PON), which was held in Papua, the East Java Regional Police sent 100 Mobile Brigade Unit of East Java personnel led directly by Mobile Brigade Unit Commander of East Java Regional Police to help secure the activity.
The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko said the departure of personnel was carried out in stages. Initially, only 50 personnel were flown in, but 50 were added.
“We sent 50 troops; then we sent another 50. So a total of 100 personnel,” explained the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Wednesday (09/29/2021).
“They are trained troops from the Mobile Brigade Unit. They are directly commanded by the Mobile Brigade Unit Commander of the East Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Amostian,” explained the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police.
The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police said that later this East Java Police personnel would oversee the movement of the athletes while in Papua. Starting from the inn, the match venue, to wherever the athlete goes.
“Wherever the athletes will move, we provide tight security,” said the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police.
