Eradicating Drugs, South Kalimantan Regional Police Arrested Two Dealers of 4.7 Kg of Amphetamine

inp.polri.go.id – Banjarmasin. Two young people who control the 4.7 kg of amphetamine distribution in Banjarmasin were arrested by South Kalimantan Regional Police.

The Director of Drugs Criminal Investigation of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Tri Wahyudi, stated that the two suspects initialled FA (27) and DI (18), were arrested when conducting an amphetamine transaction on Monday night (27/9).

The discovery of the illicit business run by the two suspects started from public information. From the gathered information, the Subdirectorate 1 Operational Team of the Directorate of Drugs Criminal Investigation of South Kalimantan Regional Police, led by the Chief of Subdirectorate, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Meilki Bharata, conducting surveillance for one week.

Until on Monday night, both are reported to put black plastic bags in Sutoyo S street, Ar Rahman alley, Banjarmasin city, which contains three packages of amphetamine weighed 520.5 gram

The Police then chased both people who ran away by motorcycle after seeing the officers until Lambung Mangkurat street.

“The suspects then ran into a person until they fell down. From their trousers pockets, we found another three amphetamine packages weighed 204.62 grams”, Director of Drugs Investigation of South Kalimantan Regional Police.

Afterwards, Police seized the suspect’s house (FA) in Belitung Darat street and found another 22 amphetamine packages weighed 3,918.57 grams, so in total, all evidence seized by the Police are 28 packages weighed 4,703.07 grams or 4.7 kg.

Police are now still developing the dealer’s network because it is suspected to involve a prominent drug dealer syndicate based on the amount of the seized evidence.

Due to their actions, the perpetrators were subjected to Article 114 paragraph 2, Sub-article 112 paragraph 2 in relation to Article 132 paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2009 about Narcotics, with the threat of 20 years maximum in prison.
