inp.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. The National Police Headquarters of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri Headquarters) dispatched 100 personnel who served as medical personnel for the COVID-19 Vaccination Regiment to support the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) event.
Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Pol. Inspector-General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, in a written statement received in Jakarta, stated that the 100 members of the Indonesian National Police who were dispatched consisted of 88 vaccinators and 12 assistants.
“They will be on Cenderawasih Earth during the XX Papua National Sports Week, which is from October 2-15,” said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police.
The Head of the National Police Public Relations Division explained that the 100 members of the National Police served as additional medical personnel in the XX Papua National Sports Week arena spread across four districts/cities in Papua Province, namely Jayapura City and District, Mimika Regency and Merauke.
All additional medical team personnel have already departed through Soekarno-Hatta Airport using several domestic airlines.
“The 100 members have departed from Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Some use Garuda, Sriwijaya and Lion Air aircraft and act as coordinator of National Police’s Head of Medical Devices Operations Health Center, Pol. Grand Commissioner Budi Heriadi,” said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police.
According to the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, with the addition of a vaccinator sent to XX Papua National Sports Week, it is hoped that it will help accelerate the implementation of the first and second doses of vaccines.
