inp.polri.go.id – Medan. Deputy Mayor of Gunungsitoli, Sowaa Laoli, accompanied the Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, and the entourage to visit mass vaccination event at the 3 Public Senior High School of Gunungsitoli yesterday.
The visit of the Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police to the Nias islands is to follow up the instructions of Indonesian President Joko Widodo on optimising regions with low vaccination rates to achieve at least 70% vaccination rates by the end of 2021.
Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, thanked the Gunungsitoli City Government, Commander of the 0231 Nias Military District, and Nias Departmental Police that have conducted mass vaccination. He hoped that the event would be beneficial for all people’s welfare.
During the occasion, Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, also gave social aid of basic necessities to the Gunungsitoli people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as much as 200 packages and also wheelchairs to disease-caused paralysed people.
“On today, we are also giving social aid from the North Sumatra Regional Police, along with Nias Departmental Police, in commemorating 31 years of my class, the 1990 Class of Police Academy Alumni, serving the nation. I hope these social aids could be felt and benefits the needed people”, he said.
