inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesian National Police will soon launch Electronic Audio Visual Integrated System (e-AVIS) to ease people applying for driving licenses (SIM).
“This application enables people to conduct theory exam at home or SIM administration centres”, Theory Administrative Officer of SIM Administrator Unit of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Inspector 2nd Class Aditya Ambarsari, in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Wednesday (22/09/21).
Police Inspector 2nd Class Aditya Ambarsari said that the application was made so that people do not need to go to SIM application centres to apply for SIM. Besides that, this activity could minimise SIM-making broker activities.
Theory Administrative Officer of SIM Administrator Unit of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police also said that people could get the application from the link that would be campaigned by the Police soon.
The link would direct people into the application, and they have to fill in some requirements such as name, National ID number, and phone number.
Besides that, people are also allowed to do the theory exam provided in the said application. The exam would also be supervised by an officer through the camera.
“In that application, we have to record it. Therefore, their faces are being recorded when they start to work on the exam. So the exam is live”, Theory Administrative Officer of SIM Administrator Unit of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.
Police Inspector 2nd Class Aditya Ambarsari hoped that this application could function optimally to assist people applying SIM during the pandemic.
