West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Successfully Revealed List of G-listed Drug Circulation Network, Thousands of Items Have Been Secured

inp.polri.go.id – Mataram. The traffickers of illegal drugs (List G) of the Tramadol and Trihexyphenidyl brands about to be sent to Jakarta were successfully thwarted by the Directorate of Drugs Investigation at the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police.

Director of Drugs Investigation at the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Helmi Kwarta Kusuma Putra Rauf said his network was uncovered after the arrests of two men who received packages containing thousands of hard drugs from Jakarta.

In the package confiscated by our team, 2,500 Tramadol pills were found. This package was sent from Jakarta, explained to the Director of Drug Investigation of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Monday (09/20/2021).

The recipients of the package were RI (25) and HJ (30). Both were arrested with thousands of hard drugs while taking the package at the Mataram City area freight forwarder, Sunday (09/19/2021) evening.

From their statement, it was later revealed that the role of the messenger and the owner of the goods, namely the man with the initials MR (21), who lives in the Karang Kelok area, Mataram City.

“That night, the team continued their movement to MR’s house,” explained the Directorate of Drug Investigation Unit of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

“From the second location, MR was arrested along with three men with the initials AM (33), SH (23) and RN, whose age is still in the category of children. “We searched the place and found 500 pills of Trihexyphenidyl,” explained the Directorate of Drug Investigation Unit at the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

MR and three of his colleagues were immediately taken to the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police with these findings. Together with two of his men who were arrested earlier, MR is currently undergoing investigation by investigators.

“From his confession, this MR admits that he has a special subscription, not just selling. However, the average consumer is students, students,” explained the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

The perpetrators now face up to ten years in prison. The threat follows Article 196 Juncto Article 197 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 36/2009 concerning Health.
