Head of Public Relations of Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus explained that in this case, two people are identified as suspects, namely BP and P.
“The evidence is that there are 5,052 ecstasy pills in camouflage into dog food cans,” explained the Head of Public Relations, Saturday (09/18/2021).
This case was revealed thanks to public information that there would be drug shipments from Belgium. The police then cooperated with Customs to carry out surveillance.
“On September 16, an ojol received an order to take the evidence to someone. The team follows and secures BP,” he explained.
Based on the examination results, BP was controlled by P, who had a disorder in one of the Correctional Institutions (Lapas).
“P is a Nigerian citizen,” concluded Yusri.
For their actions, BP and P were charged with Article 155 Subsidiary Article 114 Paragraph (2) Subsidiary Article 112 Juncto Article 113 of Law Number 35 the Year 2009 concerning Narcotics. Second Punishment Maximum sentence of death or life imprisonment.
