Inp.polri.go.id – Papua – Humane performance now becomes the face of Police personnel in Papua. One of the examples is through programme series of making friendships with community, religious, and traditional figures and political elites of Papua.
One of the programmes is like the one conducted by the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of Tolikara. Under the leadership of Police Inspector 1st Class Widada, Police Brigadier Petrus Hamokwarong, and Police Brigadier 1st Class Yordan P Bonay, on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11.30, they visited the community figure of Bandia village in Karubaga district, Mr Yosim Kogoya, and conversed with the people of Bandia village.
Police Inspector 1st Class Widada thanked Mr Yosim as the community figure who is willing to receive us to make friends with the people of Bandia village.
Police Inspector 1st Class Widada said, “We encourage Mr Yosim Kogoya as the community figure and local residents to maintain community security and order together in Bandia village, Karubaga district. May this region always be safe and conducive so that public and governmental activities in Tolikara regency could run safely and orderly”.
Police Inspector 1st Class Widada also hopes that Mr Yosim Kogoya, as the local community figure, to encourage the youth all residents of Bandia village to work together in helping Binmas Noken Task Force maintaining security in each neighbourhood so it would impact the safe and conducive community security and order in Tolikara regency.
Police Inspector 1st Class Widada also advised that “The youth and community could fill the activities with something positive such as making fish ponds, animal farming, gardening, creating organisation, and sport”.
“If there are some problems, either private or group, that may disturb security and order, please do not take this matter into your own hands. Communicate this with the local community figure of Police personnel, before spreading into a bigger problem, to look for the solution and exit strategy” Police Inspector 1st Class Widada concluded the visit.
Mr Yosim Kogoya, as the community figure, warmly welcomed the presence of the Binmas Noken Task Force, and he agreed to cooperate and support the programmes.
“We understand that security is not only Police’s business but also common responsibilities between personnel and local residents”, Mr Yosim Kogoya concluded in his agreement on supporting Police and government’s programme.
