Inspector-General Dedi Prasetyo, directly led the destruction of evidence of 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine or 1.374.58 grams to be exact from the results of the disclosure in three areas carried out at the Central Kalimantan Police Headquarter, Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km.01, Palangka Raya City, Friday (09/17/2021).
Appearing to be present accompanying the Police Chief in the extermination activity was the Directorate of Drug Investigation Unit, Pol. Grand Commissioner Nono Wardoyo, and the Head of PR, Pol. Grand Commissioner Eko Saputro, Head of Central Kalimantan Provincial National Narcotics Agency, Central Kalimantan Head of National Agency of Drug and Food Control, Head of Provincial National Agency of Drug and Food Control and Central Kalimantan’s Head of State Intelligence Agency
In his remarks, the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief said that the evidence that was destroyed was the result of the disclosure for the period July – August 2021 in 3 districts and cities. The total is 11 cases with 11 suspects arrested. Disclosure in the 3 areas, namely in Palangka Raya City (8 cases, 8 suspects, 1,258.66 grams of evidence), East Kotawaringin Regency (1 case, 1 suspect, 68.4 grams of evidence), Kapuas Regency (2 cases, 2 suspect, 47.52 grams of evidence).
“The evidence of methamphetamine that was successfully confiscated from the perpetrators came from Pontianak (West Kalimantan) and Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan) which was brought by land to be circulated in the Central Kalimantan region. The Central Kalimantan Police will continue to be committed to eradicating the abuse of illicit drug trafficking. in order to make Central Kalimantan shine (clean from drug syndicates),” added the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.
“As a result of his actions, now the perpetrators will be charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum penalty of five years in prison and a fine of 1 billion, a maximum of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine. Rp 10 billion,” concluded the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.
