Police Name Four Suspects Related to Fish Bombing in Pasuruan

inp.polri.go.id – Pasuruan. Police officers have investigated the scene after the explosion of a fish bomb that killed a father and son and destroyed two houses in Pakangkungan Village, Gondangwetan District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java.

The police managed to identify four suspects in this case. This was conveyed directly by the Pasuruan City Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Arman together with the East Java Regional Police Head for Forensic Laboratories, Pol. Grand Commissioner Sodiq Pratomo, and Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Pasuruan Resort Police, Wednesday (09/15/21).

The former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang City Metro Police said the four suspects were Pasuruan City Resort Police Chief, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Arman said AR was another person who played a role in helping the fish bomb compounding process.

Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Arman said that the making of the fish bombs had been carried out for the past year and was being sold again on the grounds of meeting economic needs.

The Pasuruan City Resort Police Chief explained that while making the detonators, the four suspects worked together. Especially to hide the activities in assembling fish bombs, so that other neighbors don’t know.

Meanwhile, in the same place, the Head of the East Java Regional Police Forensic Laboratories Pol. Grand Commissioner Sodiq Pratomo explained. From the results of the crime scene (TKP), it was found that there was one hole in the former center of the explosion with a diameter of ± 50 cm, and a depth of ± 7 cm, positive containing Lead Azide Pb(N3)2.

“We found hundreds of detonator casings made of aluminum with an average length of ± 58.2 mm and an average diameter of ± 7.2 mm. Evidence of white powder which is positive for Pentaerytritol tetranitrate (PETN) and Potassium Chlorate (KClO3) and evidence of yellowish white powder which is positive for Trinitro toluene (TNT),” he explained.

Pol. Grand Commissioner Sodiq explained, PETN (Pentaerytritol tetranitrate), Potassium Chlorate (KCO3), TNT (Trinitro toluene), Lead azide Pb(N3)2 are classified as high explosive explosives, while Potassium Chlorate (KClO3) is a type of material. Low Explosives.
