inp.polri.go.id – Bangka. The Head of the Bangka Belitung Police has intensified the tracing of close contacts of Covid-19 patients in Bangka Regency. Supervision is also carried out to break the chain of transmission of the corona virus which is still high in Bangka.
“Tracing in Bangka Regency is very massive to suppress Covid-19 cases which are still high. One officer supervises residents who are in close contact with Covid-19 patients,” said the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief at Bangka Belitung University in Bangka, Wednesday (09/15/21).
The Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief said that Bangka Regency is currently still implementing Community Activity Restriction Level 4 because the daily addition of positive Covid-19 cases is still high, while the other six regencies/cities in Bangka Belitung are currently Level 3, because the cases have decreased significantly.
The Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief believes that massive tracing and strict supervision currently implemented can reduce positive cases of Covid-19 in Bangka.
“Yesterday we focused on tracing in Belinyu District, Bangka Regency. God willing, the daily Covid-19 cases in this area can be controlled, ” said the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief.
According to the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief, the number of Covid-19 cases in Bangka has started to decline. Efforts to prevent the corona virus will continue to be intensified in the area, in addition to the community to participate in the success of the Covid-19 vaccination. Because it can increase the body’s resistance from the possibility of being infected with a new type of corona virus.
“We urge the public to always apply health protocols, such as wearing masks, washing hands, avoiding crowds and others to avoid the transmission of this corona virus,” concluded the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief.
