National Police’s DVI Team Again Identify 3 Bodies of Tangerang Prison Fire Victims

inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The DVI team at the National Police Headquarter has again succeeded in identifying the bodies of two victims of the fire at the Class I prison in Tangerang, Banten. A total of ten bodies have now been identified.

The team has reconciled and has succeeded in identifying 3 victims, two through DNA matching and one can still be identified through fingerprints, said the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Pol. Rusdi Hartono, at the National Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

The three bodies identified were the first in the name of Hadi Wijoyo bin Sri Tunjung Pamungkas, a 39-year-old male.

“This is identified through fingerprints and medical records,” added Chief of Public Information Bureau.

The second is Rocky Purnama bin Syafrizal Sani, a 28-year-old male identified through DNA and medical records.

The three, in the name of Pujiyono alias Destro bin Mundori, a 28-year-old male, were also identified through DNA and medical records, explained Chief of Public Information Bureau.

With the addition of 3 bodies of prisoners, now 10 bodies have been identified, the remaining 31 are still being worked on by the DVI National Police team.

So far, a total of 45 Correctional Assisted Residents (WBP) have died after the burning of Block C2 of Class I prison in Tangerang, Wednesday morning (8/9). The majority of inmates who became victims of the fire were inmates who stumbled on drug cases.
