JAKARTA – The National Armed Forces Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto together with the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo made a working visit to the Province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to review vaccinations as well as to supervise the handling and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On that occasion, the National Police Chief expressed his appreciation for the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Leadership Coordination Forum which has worked hard to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic so that in the West Nusa Tenggara area based on the assessment there was a decrease in the Community Activity Restriction Enforcement level. Currently, 5 districts in West Nusa Tenggara are at Level 3 Community Activity Restriction Enforcement while the other 5 districts are at Level 2.
Nevertheless, the National Police Chief reminded that the decline in Community Activity Restriction Enforcement levels followed by easing in several sectors was feared to be a trigger for the increase in new cases of Covid-19.
“On this occasion, I always remind you, in lowering the level, of course, there will be loosened activities, there are approximately ten sectors that are relaxed, which of course must be watched out for. The health protocol must be improved,” said the National Police Chief at the West Nusa Tenggara Governor’s Office, Friday (09/10/2021).
Because if you don’t apply discipline with health protocols, said the National Police Chief, all the achievements in controlling and handling Covid-19 which have shown good results will certainly be in vain.
“This, of course, needs to be educated and socialized. And the community asks for their cooperation to be able to maintain health protocols together,” the former Banten Regional Police Chief appealed.
Not forgetting that the National Police Chief said that even though he had received the vaccine, the use of masks in every activity was very important.
Regarding efforts to achieve the vaccination target of 2 million doses per day as directed by President Joko Widodo. The National Police Chief said, through the mass vaccination carried out by the National Armed Forces and National Police today, is targeting as many as 45,000 doses of vaccine to be injected into the community.
“If 45,000 doses are reached, the Province of West Nusa Tenggara is the only one that can achieve the President’s target of two million doses of vaccine per day. And if it is achieved, I ask that it be maintained,” he concluded.
In the end, the former Police Criminal Investigation Agency also reminded that in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara there would be a big international agenda, namely the implementation of Super Bikes in November. The National Police Chief wants that health protocols are strictly enforced and vaccinations to be maximized immediately.
“This of course requires special preparation. Particularly related to health protocols and vaccination readiness. So that was when the event took place. Everyone who comes is ready because the progress is good and the vaccination is as we expected,” said the National Police Chief.
